Support for veterinary, wildlife, shelter, and zoo workers
This page is for registered psychologists and veterinary/wildlife/shelter/zoo workers who are, or have been, treating and caring for our injured and sick wildlife and animals as a result of the bushfires in Australia. The purpose is to be able to refer those workers who may be feeling overwhelmed or struggling to cope to a registered psychologist for free support via telephone or online.
The number of sessions available will be at the discretion of the psychologist.
Once a request is received by the veterinary/wildlife/shelter worker, it will be matched to one of our volunteer psychologists. The psychologist will then contact you directly to arrange your initial session.
While we will be using our best endeavours to expedite this process, please allow us at least 24 hours to co-ordinate the request for support.
